FDA Database Search on Medical Device Performance
Link to the U.S. Food & Drug Administration's database to search any performance problems with medical devices. You can search by manufacturer, catalog number, product name or category. For example, enter the name of a medical device manufacturer in "Manufacturer" and then enter "trocar" into the "brand name category. You may also refine the search by choosing an event type: Death, Serious Injury or Malfunction. The most thorough results will be achieved by conducting multiple searches under different manufacturers' names and brand names due to variations on product names and filing under parent companies.
